Anime: Ep 39 - Legend of the Galactic Heroes Eps 1-26 (with Andrew from Recovery of an Anime Junkie)
A good dictator or a corrupt democracy? In this podcast episode we are joined by Andrew from the Recovery of an Anime Junkie podcast in his second appearance. First, we have our usual housekeeping and our contest winner announcement (0-7).
We got some news like a new Rumiko manga, new Ghost in the Shell coming, and making fun of Andrew's three favourite anime in a call back to our very first anime episode (7-56).

Anime: Ep 37 - The Vision of Escaflowne

Anime: Ep 36 - Gatchaman

Anime: Ep 35 - Area 88 (OVA)
It's spooky season. During the intro of this episode we briefly discuss our initial impressions over a few of the new Fall 2018 seasonal anime (0-16).
Tori has started a new quest which involves watching retro anime films, and we discuss some of the standouts he has watched so far including a Takahata film (16-38).
Naturally, since Halloween is around the corner we go into some horror/suspense/psychological anime to possibly watch for it (38-1:25).

Anime: Ep 19 - 2017 Anime of the Year (with Super Anime Super Show)
It's all about the 2017 anime of the year. We have 20 categories to go through, all with a winner based on the ranking opinions of the guys here at RLR joined by special guests from the Super Anime Super Show.
We begin with our intro learning about our guests and the Crunchyroll award breakdown aka rip it apart (0-17). We dive into each Crunchyroll award category and the nominations with winners, discussion and disagreements included (17-60). From there, each host in a round robin style have their top 5 anime from 2017 to tell everyone about (60-1:34). Anime: Ep 18 - Belladonna of Sadness (Hentai)
Time to get down and dirty for episode 18. First are Quest updates from both Tori and JD along with a few updates over the current season (0-35). Anime: Ep 17 - Midnight Eye Gokuu I and II
Back for more. Quest updates (0-14). Some fun and interesting news came out with a major anime studio closing as an example (14-29). More community questions and there are some fun ones big time (29-1:03). The main topic is focused on the future of anime ranging from CG advancements to virtual companions (1:03-2:01). The 80's were crazy times and the anime for review this time is no exception in Midnight Eye Gokuu I and II (2:01-end).

Anime: Ep 16 - Space Battleship Yamato
It's a hype type episode starting with 'Quest' talk (0-9). First few weeks have come which means it's time to do some Winter 2018 season impressions (9-1:17). Masaaki Yuasa got into a twitter exchange over Devilman and culture, so that goes into an anime cultural discussion (1:17-1:46). Of course, we can't forget about answering some questions from our comminity (1:46-2:25). In 1974, people were blown away by the release of Space Battleship Yamato. Anime: Ep 15 - Battle Angel Alita (OVA and Manga)
Brand new year makes for a brand new begining with a fun intro of our anime new year's resolution and some 'Quest' talk (0-28). A lot of news came out in between casts, so we are here to update you on the fun (28-53). Then, it is a question filled power hour featuring everything from a loyal listener (53-1:35). A new season means the 'Bar' has moved. We highlight over some shows from our moving bar at Winter 2003 (1:35-1:45). Of course we hit on our most hyped shows of the upcoming Winter 2018 season with a new blood pact and a fun shoutout (1:45-2:15). A special OVA came out in the early 90's highlighting an ongoing manga by the name of Battle Angel Alita. We discuss this OVA with comparing the manga (2:15-2:54).
From there we discuss all9 volumes of the manga and talk about the trailer for the upcoming Hollywood adaptation of Battle Angel Alita (2:54-end).
