Wrestling: Ep 20 - TLC Tag League Final Battle

I am already trained. JD is joined by a different Colin (ubertieguy) for this cast as we first talk about some more wrestlers signing with ROH, and then move into thoughts over the next batch of NXT call-ups to Raw and SD (0-26).
Our wrestler spotlight covers the revolutionary Dynamite Kid. We go over who he was, what he meant to wrestling, and how good he was especially his rivalry with Tiger Mask (26-41).

In this episode, we get to cover some interesting events coming out of the indie scene in the UK (41-58).
David Starr defended his title over in RPW at Cockpit 35, while Progress wrestling was busy releasing two chapters in 80 and 81 with a heavy focus on their tag team division.

Into tier 2 promotions, ROH had their final ppv of the year with a lot of send offs of the Elite leaving. Final Battle sure seemed to live up to its name (58-1:21). Finally, NJPW's tag league came to an end and the road to Wrestlekingom happened. What went down at tag league, and Ospreay and Ibushi had a moment (1:21-1:37).

WWE also had their final ppv of 2018 in TLC. The women lived up to the main event while some others sank the crowd. Also, a cage match happened in NXT. Quite a lot to discuss here (1:37-2:09).

We finish off the cast as we usually do with an episode of WCW Thunder (eps 14, 1998) the go home show before Spring Stampede. How will this one be (2:09-end)?
Cast completes with wrestler rankings and community shoutouts.

Wrestling: Ep 19 - One Big Neck Leyende de Hamburg

Nobody is as tough as the chief. We introduce this cast with a little Scott Hall talk from Rad followed by some wrestling news (0-18).
Our wrestler spotlight in this one covers the NWA legend Chief Wahoo McDaniel. He was an extremely popular wrestler out of the mid-atlantic and we are here to relive a bit of it (18-31).

The indie scene was busy as usual in November (31-1:21).
NOAH finished their global league, Stardom finished tag league and had 'best of goddess' show, and RPW was back at the guildhall with PAC in the main event (31-43). Progress had Ch 79 with a returning Travis Banks in the ring (43-51). wXw had their fallout show from Broken Rules in Hamburg to crown the true wXw champion (51-1:04). Impact wrestling continues to set up their big January ppv with Final Hour and their building tv shows (1:04-1:14). Last to cover are episodes 31-33 of MLW as they set up two big event coming in December (1:14-1:21).

Into tier 2 promotions, as tag league in NJPW continues and ROH sets up for Final Battle, CMLL completed their Leyende de Plata annual tournament with some great lucha action (1:21-1:25).
In the latest for WWE, Rad and JD briefly discuss some ongoings within NXT UK, NXT post War Games, and our stance on who is indeed 'the man' (1:25-1:47).

We finish off the cast as we usually do with an episode of WCW Thunder (eps 13, 1998) 10 days before Spring Stampede. How will this one be (1:47-end)?
Cast completes with wrestler rankings and an iTunes review.

Wrestling: Ep 18 - Global War Games Series

I always get my man. ACH and Walter have supposedly signed with WWE. What does this mean (0-11)?

Back in the early 90's of the WWF, highly gimmick characters were a-plenty. This episode we spotlight the evil Canadian wrestler The Mountie (11-19).

In the indie scene JD breaks down some event highlights of various promotions (19-49).
A discussion starts with GWF and WrestlingKult French wrestler Senza Volto. Move into discussing the fallout from the She-1 over in Pro Wrestling Eve (23-28). Then, a little update over a match from NOAH's Global League and wXw's event Broken Rules feature PCO v Dragunov in the main event (29-43). The indie scene is concluded reviewing RPW's Uprising event Starr v Ishii (43-49).

Into Tier 2, JD has some thoughts over NJPW's tag league as well as some decent to good matches featured during ROH's Global Wars tour (49-56).

WWE had a big weekend with NXT War Games and Survivor Series. Did they deliver or was it simply dull (56-1:23)?

It wouldn't be RLR without finishing out the cast by looking back. WCW Thunder Eps 12 - 26 Mar. 1998 (1:23-end). Podcast wrestler rankings to finish out and a brief talk over Progress Ch 78.

Wrestling: Ep 17 - Ultima Lucha Survival of the Struggle

Hey yo. It's survey time. Let's compare WWE in Saudi Arabia to NJPW in North Korea back in the early 90's (0-16).

One of the biggest names of the 90's was Scott Hall. Be it when he was Razor Ramon in ladder matches or part of the original nWo, the bad guy is worth going back to spotlight (16-36). Jay from the Smack It Down podcast joins JD to discuss in this fantastic episode.

The wide world of wrestling on the indies is ramping up to another big outing. We discuss a whole lot from A-Kid in White Wolf Wrestling out of Spain, wXw Road to Broken Rules, Stardom True Fight 2018, Bar Wrestling 21, Lucha Underground season 4 finale Ultima Lucha Cuatro, and Progress Ch 77 (36-1:26).

From there, Robert from the "Loud Mouth Wrestling" podcast joins JD to discuss the on-goings in AJPW (1:26-1:37) and the start of NOAH wrestling's Global League to round up the indie scene (1:37-1:56).

Into Tier 2, Robert from LM Wrestling and JD discuss ROH Survival of the Fittest and how it plays into the state of ROH (1:56-2:25).

Jay returns to join JD for review and fallout from NJPW Power Struggle, brief thoughts on-look into tag league and how it all plays into Wrestle Kingdom (2:25-2:47).

WWE has gone insane. NKT UK, NXT into War Games, and WWE booking looking back and into Survivor Series. Is there a method to the madness (2:47-3:22)?

It wouldn't be RLR without finishing out the cast by looking back. WCW Thunder Eps 11 - 19 Mar. 1998 (3:22-end). Podcast wrestler rankings to finish out.

Wrestling: Ep 16 - Global Wars Evolution

Don't throw chairs into the ring! As a fun start off, we do a start your own wrestling promotion fantasy draft with 10 picks each among five people (0-29).

Remember how crazy ECW was? Well, our spotlight covers possibly the most popular tag team to come from the extreme promotion in the Public Enemy (29-48).

Tier 3 indie had a little variety lately. Tessa Blanchard and Mercedes Martinez had a 75 min ironwoman match out of Rise wrestling, and we also cover events from RPW's Global Wars UK event. We finish up the indies by catching up with events from Lucha Underground season 4 heading into the finale at Ultima Lucha Cuatro (48-1:08).

In tier 2, NJPW has had their Road to Power Struggle tour ongoing with the Jr Tag Tournament. We cover news and the teams leading into the Power Struggle event (1:08-1:20).

WWE had their historic first ever historical all women's ppv in Evolution. Was it good and who came out on top (1:20-1:57)?

As we do, we close out the show with reviewing WCW and reached another ppv event in Uncensored 1998 with the main event Savage v Hogan in a steel cage (1:57-end). Podcast wrestler rankings at the end (2:26-end).

Wrestling: Ep 15 - Kings Bound for Wembley

Take out WCW brick by brick. We introduce this episode with some NXT and NXTUK talk along with some women's wrestling going on (0-15).

This spotlight is all about the early 90's WCW faction called The Dangerous Alliance lead by Paul E. Dangerously (15-44).

Tier 3 indie was busy lately with Progress Ch 76 headlining Wembley as the boys from the Smack It Down podcast joins JD to discuss this monumental show (44-1:18). From there Rad and JD go into the crazy weekend out of Germany as wXw had World Tag Team League (1:18-1:34). Last to cover in the indies is what went down and stories falling out from Impact Bound for Glory (1:34-1:52).

In tier 2, NJPW had their King of Pro Wrestling ppv ranging from a Jericho appearence all the way to a new LIJ member. What a crazy show (1:52-2:26).

WWE Super Show Down happened and the Smack It Down boys come back to discuss their first hand experiences there (2:26-2:46).

Of course Rad and JD finish out with reviewing an episode of WCW Thunder: Eps 10 March 12, 1998 (2:46-end). Podcast wrestler rankings at the end.

Wrestling: Ep 07 - UK Best in the World

Oh it's time, it's Vader time! We start with discussing Lashley v Roman and what the wXw women think of the women's revolution (0-23) Our wrestler spotlight for the episode is the international legend of Big Van Vader (23-52).

The indie show focus of this episode start off going over the farewell tour of Io Shirai from Japan, then Defiant Built to Destroy, some decent matches from CMLL, and then a lot of discussion surrounding Evolve 106 and 107 which JD personally got to attend (52-1:40).

Into our tier 2 promotions, NJPW finished off Kizuna Road before their next ppv run, but the big topics are over the good to great matches seen at Ring of Honor Best in the World (1:40-2:00). Last for the modern wrestling is always WWE. The NXT UK tournament has come to a conclusion and we discuss the results (2:03-2:17). JD updates the 2018 wrestlecast wrestler rankings before going into the last segment.

Rad and JD finish out the cast as we review past episodes of WCW Thunder: episode 3 (2:23-end).

Wrestling: Ep 06 - Money in Dominion

This is nuts! The WWE UK tournament has started and JD has a concerning prediction (0-15)! Our wrestler spotlight for this episode is over the original Western women's revolutionary in Gail Kim (15-38). From there, it's a whole lot of the Indie wrestling you have come here for from Progress Ch 69, Stardom Gold Stars, NOAH, to Lucha Underground season 4 starting (38-1:32).

Into our tier 2 promotions, NJPW just had their second largest ppv of the year called Dominion and holy nuts was it a good one (1:32-1:58)! Last for the modern wrestling is always WWE and since Money in the Bank happened along with yet another excellent NXT showing in TakeOver Chicago, there are some good matches to discuss (1:58-2:51) JD updates the 2018 wrestlecast wrestler rankings before going into the last segment.

Rad and JD finish out the cast as we review past episodes of WCW Thunder: episode 2 (2:51-end).

Wrestling: Ep 05 - Super Strong Super Junior Scrappermania

So much Indie wrestling so much to discuss (0-6)! Our wrestler spotlight for this episode is over the super iconic Ultimate Warrior. We channel the power from the heavens to discuss this larger than life figure (6-32). As usual, we go into the indie wrestling scene from around the world and almost every promotion had a major event to talk about! So much and so little time! Indie (32-1:54): Progress Super Strong Style 16 (32-1:01), Revolution Pro Epic Encounter (1:01-1:12), OTT Scrappermania IV (1:12-1:28), wXw (1:28-1:32), Evolve (1:32-1:38), All Japan Pro Wrestling (1:38-1:48), other miscellaneous indie updates (1:48-1:54).

Into our tier 2 promotions, Ring of Honor comes off their Honor United tour in the UK (1:54-1:59). NJPW just finished out their 2018 Best of the Super Juniors Tournament and Jay from the Smack It Down Podcast joins in to discuss (2:00-2:43). There are some fun things to talk about in WWE like a good 205 live match, rivalries building in NXT, and some thoughts on the upcoming Money in the Bank PPV (2:43-3:06).

Rad and JD finish out the cast with our new segment as we review past episodes of WCW Thunder starting with episode 1 (3:06-3:39). JD updates the 2018 wrestlecast wrestler rankings to close out (3:39-end).

Wrestling: Ep 04 - No Regrets Backlash

May has seen some good events come and go as well as what could possibly be the worst WWE ppv in quite some time (0-6). We continue with our starting segment which covers a retro-old school wrestler. We talk a bit about the wrestler and a couple matches. This one is another recently passed away wrestler in Nick 'Big Bully' Busick (6-19). From there we review the rising indie scene first with Defiant No Regrets ppv and then into the super indie promotion German Wrestling Federation. The GWF had an all women's ppv in Women's Revolution as well as Mystery Mayhem (20-52). wXw had their own big event in Superstars of Wrestling ppv and man it was something including a possible match of the year candidate (52-1:46). NJPW put on a good showing with some marquee matches and surprises from Hi no Kuni to Dontaku Day 1-2. RoH was a little more quiet this time around (1:46-2:26). We wrap up the cast as covering WWE. Join us as we share our thoughts on the latest from 205 live, NXT, and then sulk in sadness over the ppv Backlash 2018 (2:26-3:19). The cast rounds out with the podcast top wrestler table from each Tier and updates the top of table in full (3:19-end).

Wrestling: Ep 03 - Greatest Royal Redemption

April was nuts as the band is back with Travis aka HibikiTMD to discuss the wide world of wrestling from Mania weekend to the Greatest Royal Rumble. We begin with a new segment which covers a retro-old school wrestler. We talk a bit about the wrestler and a couple matches. First up is recently passed away legend in Bruno Sammartino (0-23). From there we cover the rising indie scene in order of Evolve 102-103, Progress Ch 66-67, wXw True Colors, and Impact Redemption (23-1:12). RoH and NJPW has had a quite few weeks but RoH Masters of Craft and Road to Dontaku did have some highlights worth discussing (1:12-1:35). We wrap up the cast as usual covering WWE. The guys here at RLR disucss some NXT possibilities such as what to do with Gargano and Ciampa, and the positive notes over 205 live recently. Raw and SD had a bunch of debuts, returns, and the Superstar Shakeup. However, is this really a good thing? Finally, we finish with some opinions over the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia (1:35-end).

Wrestling: Ep 02 - Mania Weekend Madness

What an insane few weeks it has been, especially this past weekend in April! Rad and JD are here to cover all that we can: Indie wrestling, New Japan, SuperCard XII, NXT Take Over, Wrestlemania... there is just so much. We start off with covering the indie scene: Defiant Wrestling (3-12); Impact x Lucha Underground (12-24); wXw (24-34); Progress Wrestling Ch 65 (34-46). New Japan had a couple huge events with Strong Style Evolved and then Sakura Genesis. We are here to cover the best of both events (46-1:04). From there, Ring of Honor had their twelth Supercard of Honor event which had two fantastic main events (1:04-1:28). Finally, it is time for WWE and we must begin with possibly the best NXT Take Over event ever in New Orleans (1:28-1:47). We wrap thing up with covering the biggest wrestling event of the year in Wrestlmania 34. Did it live up to our expectations (1:47-end)?
