Top 20 Wrestler of 2020 Table

Moxley is maintaining a strong lead in the number 1 position being the most pushed wrestler within AEW, being a strong champion, and consistently putting up good promos to match his strong ring presence so far in 2020. His latest encounter with Brodie Lee retaining his title exceeded expectations which speaks volumes to his rise in the new promotion.
Running in at 2 and 3 respectively is the best bout machine Kenny Omega taking the full advantage of being a workhorse in AEW while Sammy Guevara almost every week in AEW does some crazy thing to leave a lasting impression on us from getting his with a golf cart Looney Tunes style or putting on great matches with anyone he meets in the ring.
Meanwhile, people like Will Ospreay, PAC, and Shingo had such a strong 3 months before the pandemic period kicked maintains their presence among the top in 2020.
Recently due to the pandemic period, I watched other promotions that have continued to run and champions Hashimoto from BJW and Tanaka (freelancer) champion in DDT have had killer title runs and defenses in 2020 every month.
It will be curious to see if the big pushes of Hardy and Archer continue as we move into Summer while Tetsuya Endo has a big title match this coming weekend in DDT at their Peter Pan event.

As for the women, it's been a tough tough tough year. Just since December 2019 alone Stardom has seen the retirements of rising talent Hazuki, the general Kagetsu, unfortunate injury retirement from the year long White belt champion Arisa Hoshiki, and the horrible passing away of Hana Kimura.
The pandemic has limited joshi wrestling from running, AEW has seen the majority of their roster off tv or stuck in their respective countries, but a shining beacon in Gatoh Move and Ice Ribbon running dojo based shows treads onward. The top of the table sees 5/10 wrestlers being from Ice Ribbon with the tag champions Dropkicks (Tsukasa Fujimoto, Tsukushi) and the Infinity champion Maya Yukihi being a huge drawing interest in the promotion. Meanwhile, in AEW strong promo and character work from Britt Baker proves that there is more to wrestling than simply in-ring. On the other hand, a 12 week strong in-ring run saw Hikaru Shida use the run to win the AEW title in a heart-felt hardcore match vs a game Nyla Rose. With Suzu Suzuki expected to have her big title match vs Maya any day-week-month now, she is the big young star on the rise ready to leap the table. Perhaps more TJPW, Impact, or even Mei Suruga in Gatoh can see more action/delivered wrestling programs as we move into Summer. Yuka Sakazaki, Miyu Yamashita, and fairly recently signed Kylie Rae in Impact are the names I know I am looking out for to bust into the table.
