Top 20 Wrestlers of 2020 Updated Table

The top 6 in the men remain unchanged. However, with the rise of DDT being covered on the podcast and a 5 star calibur match happening at Peter Pan between Tanaka (c) vs Endo, the end result shot them further up the table. Rightfully earned I might add. Meanwhile, TNT champion Cody in AEW has had 2 straight weeks of good main event matches on Dynamite defending the title to more or less cement his spot and even rise a couple ranks. The other newcomers to the top are the standouts from the conclusion of Dragon Gate's King of Gate tournament. Yamato and Doi rise together hand in hand much like their career rivalry while Dragon Dia continues his rise of getting a good push and putting on an excellent showing vs the eventual winner Eita (top points getter this eps). The question is, will this push and rise for Eita continue to see him get more points on the board as we head towards Kobe World?
With New Japan set to come back with a fury, it will be interesting if DDT and Dragon Gate can keep up the interest level with my fandom, and who knows when Europe will start running shows again and how the WWE stranglehold on wXw and Progress will be affected. AEW is still the consistent show going forward building towards Fyter Fest for Moxley vs Cage. I have high expectations for that match, while I am interested, Cody in big match situations and especially vs undefeated mma fighter Jake Hagar set, flip a coin for how that one turns out. The last things to keep an eye on is the Jericho Cassidy feud building and the build towards Omega Page vs Best Friends for the tag titles.

As for the women, 1 and 2 changed up with Maya and Tsukushi. Maya largely because of her run and finals performance in the 19-title tournament. It takes a special talent in my mind to make "The Ham" look great even if it pains my heart seeing Maya lose a singles match for the first time in possibly 18 months. Meanwhile, Tsukushi has been a major backbone within Ice Ribbon with her tag title defense and ability to run a match phenomenally well. She is definitely the one to keep a very close eye on going forward in the year seeing if she will become Infinity champion continuing her redemption story in 'joshi.'
The other name on the move is Mochi Miyagi. Her 2020 has been an amazing story since returning from injury, and her role with Tsukushi in the Ice Ribbon tag title match was the highlight bar none. The vets Tsukka and 'The Ham' stepped aside and had those two go to work until the -killer- finish.
Unfortunately, in AEW Shida lost another contender to injury as Statlander joins Baker on the sidelines after tearing her ACL. I doubt Statlander will get much screen time as this likely puts her out for the remainder of 2020. Lucky for Baker her injury was a minor set back, and her character will keep her on screen building feud(s) for her in ring return.
The joshi scene is returning to action soon with fans coming back, so maybe I'll slip more SeaDlinnng main events, TJPW, and the eventual Stardom to finally shake things up on the table before the Ice Ribbon top talent and Shida run away with it.
