Top 20 Wrestlers of 2020 Updated Table as of eps 66

With the G1 under way, the movement of the NJPW wrestlers should come as no surprise. The likes of Shingo, Ospreay, and Ishii putting in solid matches one after another was expected, and delivered. Even Naito and Tanahashi turned back time to 7 years ago to give, in my opinion, a 5 star caliber match. Low key, Minoru Suzuki with even bigger matches to come, could see a rise and one of the most consistent big time wrestlers along with Masato Tanaka in 2020. Crazy! With a little over half of the G1 left, look for the NJPW wrestlers to challenge Mox for that top spot.
Now, Dragon Gate put on a show of the year contender, and amazingly enough the youth movement and the showcase of KZY has seen the promotion overall highlight different wrestlers throughout the year. Meanwhile, in AEW they have the benefit of TV week after week. The trio of Best Friends continue to rise the ranks coming on after that amazing parking lot brawl. The end of the year push and going to be fun.
As for the women, Stardom finishing out their 5 star saw new people rise the ranks and gain points as DDM continues to dominate the promotion while Utami won the 5 star GP. Great booking and stories overall. Stardom is making heavy investments in themselves as they are trying to fill the voids left behind over the last 12 months. This, along with the world situation, seems to be priming promotions like TJPW and Ice Ribbon to make moves themselves. Keep an eye out on talent moving.
That said, Ice Ribbon's top of the card continues to put in big matches every month with Tsukushi being in the best shape of her life having a good match with Suzuki. If AEW can at least somewhat focus on their womens division at all, maybe the returning Baker and champion Shida can make a push. However, the wrestler to really look out for to challenge for the top is Stardom's Mayu Iwantani as she seems to be primed for a possible 3-4 huge red belt matches for a seriously strong finish to 2020.
The last push of the year has begun!
